Hello everyone. I am off to get those elusive shoes now but just wanted to say that I’ve updated the Location page with times, addresses and better maps.
Also, wanted to mention that the reception at The Three Horseshoes will be in the function hall around the back of the pub, in case anyone ends up in the pub itself wondering where everybody is.

The dress is now hanging in the bedroom, and I am really pleased with it. Steve’s suit is also hanging in there, so I think we are sorted for clothes, so we won’t show up in jeans and T-shirt atleast…well I hope! Oh actually Steve does need to get some shoes, unless he wants to go barefoot, but I guess this isn’t really going to be a beach wedding so maybe not a great idea.
Got a lot of RSVP’s this week, that is good, keep em coming. I know a lot of people are now booked in, in both Letchworth hall Hotel and The Broadway. Broadway is easier for transport as it is less than 5 mins from the train station.
Yesterday we went to the 3 horseshoes and talked to Jane (the owner) about the food and drink. I think we are on plan with that too. Both rings are done, mine is at home but we need to pick Steve’s up next Saturday in Hitchin. Flowers are also payed for.
We have a list of things left to do, most important thing on the list is transportation from Hitchin to Norton I think oh and the seating charts, maybe I need to do what they always do in those horrible romcoms and get a big notice board and work out who doesn’t like who
Less than 3 weeks now!
Last weekend I had my last fitting for the wedding dress, hopefully by the beginning of June I should have the whole dress ready. Manged to pick up some sandals to go with it too. We now need to sort Steve out with a suit, we went and had a quick look in Hitchin last weekend, but that suit would cost almost more than my whole dress! Crazyness.
We have also booked a Hotel for the night of the wedding, ermm I guess that is the wedding night hence that name…oh well. A Hotel is booked anyway, we are staying at the Letchworth Hall if anybody wants to have breakfast with us on Sunday.
Lastly I think I sorted out a florist, but she was going a bit crazy with all the stuff she wanted to put in the bouquet, hopefully she got it when I said I wanted it simple and not too fussy. Going to pop in and see her again on Saturday.
We will also have to send the papers in to the register office with the music choices an all that, but we haven’t made our mind up on all of it. I want to walk into to the thieving magpie, Steve finds it a bit comical price of music, and suggested I’ d walk into a wrestlers theme song instead *sigh*.
No, time for bed!
Hrmm where to start? The plan for today is to go shopping for some shoes in Welwyn GC. I am very bad at shoe shopping, I don’t tend to walk around in high heels and I really hate trying them on. I have been blessed with short wide feet, with short stubby toes. So we’ll see how it goes.
We finally got the website up yesterday and the invites went out last week. Cake is ordered, places are booked. We have chosen the food. I am having my second fitting for the wedding dress soon. Next weekend we are going to a flower whole-sellers to have a look for flowers for the reception.

Right I better go wake up Steve so we’ll get to the shops before they close…
